Birthdays and baby showers...

My niece threw a 80's mystery dinner party for her hubby's 30th birthday. It was lots of fun. She asked me to make a cake with the 80's theme and this is what I came up with. As a side note, the murder weapon ended up being a Rubik's cube in the end :)... No, I didn't know that either.




Another niece was giving one of her friends a baby shower. The theme was Raining a Baby. Although I had something similar in mind, nothing seemed to go right. I couldn't find the right size baby. When I went to dowel the umbrella cake to the main cake in collapsed the center! Ugh... I hate those kinds of days.
